Computed tomography

What is computed tomography?

Computed tomography (CT), also known as a CAT scan or axial tomography, is a medical imaging technique that uses X-rays combined with a computer system to produce thin cross-sectional images of the human body. Unlike conventional radiography, which produces a flat image, CT provides detailed two- or three-dimensional images of internal structures, such as organs, bones, blood vessels, and soft tissues.

Computed tomography is available at our affiliated clinic, Radiologie Montérégie.
